Romeo and Juliet are "fictional" characters in a play. You are comparing a 14th century tragic play to modern love life? Besides, I think it was more lust than love with those two characters.

Romeo and Juliet is not a good example of true love. But yes true love does exist. I am in love with my wife and I know that we will be together for all eternity. Since we have been married she is on my mind and in my thoughts all day and all night long. Even when we are apart for a short time I can't think of anything else but her. When I am at work we talk on the phone at least five times or more when I get breaks. I find the best part of my day is knowing that when I get home I can gaze into her beautiful eyes. We have been married going on 30 years and I still love her just as much if not more. We sit sometimes and talk about how we met and the things we like about each other. Yes true love does exist, but most of the time we only hear about the ones that go bad. I wish you could be around me and my wife and see how happy we look when we are together. We never look boring, because we always keep our minds open to exploring new adventures.

some married couples usually get tired of their marriage and loose their love for their husband or wife but there are married couples who actually are really exciting and just keep their relationship going even if it means going to the extreme.

And yea true love does exist like it does with Romeo and Juliet because ppl intend to fall in love and try to never break it apart but its really hard to find a couple that would do the same thing as Romeo and Juliet did but there are ppl in this world who would give up their lives for love, and that shows everyone how much of an impact love can be.

I don't believe the story of Romeo and Juliet is an example of true love so much as it is of teenage impulsivity and rebellion combined with infatuation.

True love is displayed in marriage more than anywhere. True love is what makes you stick it out even when some days are not thrilling and when your spouse ceases to be stunning and when they annoy you and when there are kids to raise and bills to pay.

the romeo and Juliet kind of love only lasts a short time, its that stage where body chemistry is activated, and each person is attentive and involved. which produces these intense feelings. but real love concerns itself with the development of the other person, the romeo and Juliet type of love is purely physical, sexual, creating a euphoria for the lover. real love takes effort, and to make that decision to stay in the relationship in spite of the circumstances.

Romeo and Juliet is your idea of "true love"? LOL You sound so naive. Juliet never had to pick up his socks or clean up his mess, and he didn't have to put up with her bad hair days and her nagging. Love that survives through everyday 24/7 contact with each other IS true love; it may not be glamorous, but it's TRUE.
