I breed them. It took my males to 3.5 months to start becoming active with the girls, but they are still fairly small.

FOREVER!! My oldest baby mollies are four months old and they are still tiny, just under an inch long! They are fed regularly and even given blood worms on a regular basis, but they just don't want to grow up... I've heard of them reaching adulthood at 2 months old, but they certainly don't look it!

It depends entirely on how well you care for them. Frequent water changes, quality food, temps in the mid to high 70's,and generally good fish keeping practices contribute to a fast growth rate. Three months would not be unreasonable if all of this is done.-----PeeTee
