I mean Wow! I must confess that I have never seen so much nasty questions and comments like I have lately. I know most are probably from punks and racist trash (Both White and Black) but Wow! Knowing that this kind of crap is still out there must be quite unsettling to our Black brothers and sisters and to our White brothers and sisters, I use these terms because that is what I was taught when I lived in Africa. We are all family on this earth. Sorry for the long pre-amble, but here's my question, what do you personally do to make the world a less racist and confrontational place?

The only thing a person can do is to raise their children right and teach them to treat everyone equal. Alot of those racist people learn it from their family and them go and teach it to their kids and then the cycle never ends. It's good to hear people like you who actually want to make a change in this world. If we had more people like you then I say we have a better chance of ending racism.

First off I taught my daughter not to be a racist but I went out last night & this guy started talking to me & asked if I was predujice, I said no then he proceeded to tell me a black joke. When he was done I just looked at him like he was an idiot & said that's not very funny. The unfortunate part is I would have loved to hit him, I'm sorry but I do believe in a little violence but since I'm an 86 lb woman I couldn't do a damn thing. I'd love suggestions if you have any with the exception of a gun

I would treat people with kindness and respect. Treat people like fellow humans and disregard skin, disability, and so on. Teach the future generation that hatred is not the answer. Take things as a grain of truth, and teach them to be proud of what they are.

However, most importantly, teach the future generation to understand others and to think for themselves. And question everything they hear. Even if it's their parents, the child has the right to not be sucked into a racist world.

Racism affects all people and even the asians too.

I totally agree. It seems that people just will not accept certain races. Overgeneralization occurs a lot and it needs to stop. It's cool that your traveled to Africa. Kudos.

I just dont know. Some people accept other minorities over others. People just do not know how to let things go.

My suggestion. If you want to learn more about a certain race and how or why they have certain behaviors. Volunteer in the community. Get to know the locals.

I hate racist people. Racist people make sick. Those people need to be thrown on an island with pedophiles and those people that are into beastiality. Those are three types that I can stand. We should all just get along don't let one apple spoil the whole bunch.

We're all here and we should just accept each other.

"Can't we all just get along."

:)

Well you have to be patient. Know that people are ignorant and not tollerate that ignorance from the people who are most immediatly around you and whom you may actually impact.
