I think the new color strips on the sides look horrible, particularly the caps worn by the San Diego Padres.

They look silly.
But I believe they will only be around for spring training and maybe batting practice. The idea is that if you make something new people will buy them just to be current. It makes money.
This season there will be a new hat made of synthetic materials. They are doing away with the old cotton caps. The new hats will allow the sweat to be absorbed by the entire hat, and not just the sweatband. The new hats will retail for $32.

I miss the style used before. I thought these new caps were just for practice?? I hope they aren't used during the season. I like the "normal" style.

They look pretty bad. The league is trying to be ultra modern and it doesn't work. They need to go back to the older style. Those caps had class.

i hate thos hats hopefully thos are just for spring training they look like a freakin 5 cent hat

I don't like the stripe either but it will keep the players cooler with the new technology so it's worth it.

They are just spring training. I don't really think they are that bad.
