It depends on the jurisdiction you are under. In Australia, all learners must have a zero blood alcohol level when driving and be supervised by a fully licensed driver who is also under the legal limit (.05 in Australia). Regardless of whether your father seems intoxicated or not, if he is above the legal limit, both he and you, may be breaking the law. If he is below the legal limit, or has a blood alcohol level of zero in some jursidictions, then it would be fine. Please if you are in doubt, do not make the decision to drive, it is not worth the possible conviction or injury to life.

Tech hic nic ly, shhh, maybe not, depending on what State, but I'm shore the sjudge would undershand.
Really it depends how long it took him to drink the four beers, 4 hours he'll be sober as a judge, 4 minutes and he'll be over the limit unless he's like 400lbs or a superheavyweight drinker.

Yes, but drive carefully, not too fast or too slow. Tell him to get plenty of beer so you don't have to go out again. Have him get you some soda and chips that you like. Keep the keys when you get home and do not give them back until tomorrow.

Better let the dog drive as the 'designated driver " because the dog is the sober one. Hope the dog has a dog license!

Not advisable. The licensed driver has to be able, legally and physically, to take over driving if the need arises.

After four beers, regardless if he is "tipsy" or not, he would not be legally able to take over the driving.

Risky. If he is found to be under the influence (0.08 here) then he is not a licensed driver for the purpose of accompanying you, so essentially you are SOL.

You can but better not get stopped. As a learner, your adult must be sober.
