help. i get emabarrased eaisly and i chicken out on it. what can i do to boost my confidence and help me get better. its on the 22 and 23 of march and i don't have time to practice. what do i do??/

I played trombone, too. Be brave! Don't say you don't have time to practice. Do it right now instead of wasting time on Y/A. Try your best. . . and practice a lot. It will boost your confidence if you are well prepared. If you make a mistake, it's no big deal. Don't chicken out! YOU CAN DO IT!

Just play the best you can.

Your solo isn't such a big deal to everybody else. Just think of all the other players, your not concerned about how their solos are going to be played.

It's OK to not be perfect, or even good, especially if your still in your practicing years. So if you have to, stand up and blow a lousy solo, but do it all the way. And if you gave it your best, definitely, do NOT apologize for it.

Don't worry, the chances of anyone noticing you got it wrong are actually very small.

The trick is to plough on through, don't stop. If you play a wrong note or pitch badly, forget it and carry on, everyone else will.

When in doubt, blast it out.
