I agree that it can push you, but sometimes you don't achieve what you are capable of because you overestimated yourself and could have worked just a little harder/smarter, or plan out what you needed to do better in a reasonably amount of time. Unless you are superman then...

Yes it can. A former friend of mine went to Pharmacy school and then she hooked up with a felon that just always drags her into the dirt and uses her like crazy. She became his meal ticket. She pays his bills as well as her own. Thus her full potential can never be reached.

Absolutely. If you're an ego-maniac, you think that you know everything there is to know--and that you're better than everyone else. You're right, everyone else is wrong. How could a person like that reach his/her full potential. They don't think that they have anything to learn, or that they have any faults.

How can you really improve yourself if you think you are already "ALL THAT"!!!! part of reaching our full potential is being open to constructive criticism and being able to admit our weaknesses and to learn from them, so the answer, of course, is yes.

Pride and ego will be needed but if they are false, you will just be a victimizer. If you are such, than you full potential dosen't want you anymore.

rekon pride aint sommat you can falsify, you always know if you done it bad or good. ego is exactly what it says on the tin, we need it when there aint those round us to complement. an inflated ego will always result in a big fall as, by nature, its un-sustainable (insustainable/insubstancial....?)

No, it can actually push you harder to reach your full potential.

Well ya, you'll certainly have less enthusiasm to try and improve on your shortcomings if nothing else. And that's kind of a biggie.
