How do you make nylon butterflies and bumble bees?

I am wanting to find out how to make those butterflies and bumble bee and dragon flies out of pantyhose and wire. I did them in elementary school and want to do these with my kids as a fun spring project, but can't remember how to make them. I barely remember how to do the wings but can't remember how to make the body. Any help or instruction would be greatly appreciated.

Like you, I don't remember how to make the bodies. I can offer an alternative. Go to http://www.orientaltrading.com and enter 57/9091 in the search. What comes up is 12 butterflies for $5.95 pr. dz. They aren't large, but your children could still paint and decorate them. If you go to http://www.daniellesplace.com/index.html and click on "insect crafts for kids" it will show you how to decorate them. P.S, This is just a great site ( it does have some religious crafts though )

they were really good priced so i decide to buy them instead of making them.
