i really like both of them..why not devontay martel as the whole name? i think it sounds really good together

I don't like either, unless they are common where you are from, I've never heard of them, and I personally think they sound like brand names, rather than a person's name. Devontay sounds like a pharmaceutical and Martel sounds like a brand of kid's toys.
PS) Julie, Christie is perfectly entitled to give her opinion...I wouldn't want to ask a question, just to have answers from a bunch of 'yes-men' (or woman).
I've asked several questions on baby's names and always got honest feedback on names I originally liked. I wouldn't want to choose a name that most people thought was ugly. If a few do, then it's their opinion, but if the majority do...then you've got to think if the name is really fair on your future child.
