I forgot my privacy code on my sidekick?

Question

well first off
i found a sidekick3
but there was no sim card in it
and it looks brand new
and you need the privacy code to unlock the phone
but i dont know the code what should i do??
i dont want to call t- moblie b/c they will give it back to the owner and ask for the phone # of the phone when i dont no the phone #
