. The Catholic religion is againt birth control pills because a lot of them stop implantation, not conception. So, if you follow that logic, then you could be having a "silent abortion" as they put it. But keep in mind only 50% of fertilised eggs attatch anyway (it is called a chemical pregnancy when it doesnt). But with optimum fertility and using certain birth controls (like the IUD) a woman could be having as many as 4 chemical pregnancies a year while still on birth control.

Natural birth control excludes all barrier, hormonal, chemical, and surgical birth control methods, including condoms, the pill, the IUD, spermicides, and sterilization. Natural birth control generally does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.

Naturally occurring substances are chemicals. However, some distinguish them from synthetic substances. Promoters of naturally occurring substances as possible contraceptives (such as lemon juice,[1] wild yam,[2] Queen Anne's Lace (wild carrot),[3] or neem[4]), may refer to them as natural birth control. So I would go with Natural. Here is artificial irth control is a regimen of one or more actions, devices, or medications followed in order to deliberately prevent or reduce the likelihood of a woman becoming pregnant or giving birth. Methods and intentions typically termed birth control may be considered a pivotal ingredient to family planning. Mechanisms which are intended to reduce the likelihood of the fertilisation of an ovum by a spermatozoon may more specifically be referred to as contraception. Contraception differs from abortion in that the former prevents fertilization, while the latter terminates an already established pregnancy. Methods of birth control which may prevent the implantation of an embryo if fertilization occurs are medically considered to be contraception but characterized by some opponents as abortifacients.

There is no such thing as "natural" birth control. You can get pregnant from having sex any time of the month and regardless of whether he withdraws his penis before ejaculation. The only kind of birth control that prevents the spread of sexually transmitted diseases are condoms and dental dams. The only "natural," method that works is abstinence, and history has shown that planning to rely on abstinence does not work overall because of the overwhelming human tendency to have sex. Although some teens manage to wait until marriage, most do not even if they are taught abstinence and took the abstinence pledge.

I suppose when you are talking about "natural," birth control you are referring to "Behavioral methods," explained in the 3rd reference link listed below.

Good luck on your "debate"!

Natural birth control? Since the only effective birth control to occur naturally is abstinence, I've got to consider myself a fan of artificial forms of birth control.

Its better to use artificial birth control ,that way you will not catch an STD or get pregnant. But sometimes even if your on the pill you can still manage to get pregnant or get somebody pregnant its still better then doing it raw with no protection.I stand for the artificial side.

NATURAL- - - - - - - - - IM A MALE BUT IVE HEARD THAT ARTIFICIAL MEANS OVER THE LONG RUN CAN CAUSE PHYSICAL PROBLEMS, FOR EXAMPLE BLOOD CLOTS, AND OTHER PROBLEMS IN US HUMANS HOWEVER FOR A MALE AFTER HAVING A FAMILY I BELIEVE IN VASECTOMY ( OPERATION ) WHICH IS QUICK AND THOROUGH AND PAINLESS. AND SO MUCH EASIER AND SAFER THAN FOR THE FEMALE TO TAKE PILLS AND OR OPERATION.

Marriage is the ultimate birth control. You don't have to worry about it.

Beyond that, I think I'd let the girl decide. She gets to carry the baby, so I'd yield to her.
