I am not sure who Kirk Coburn is, maybe you mean Pharr Coburn from Annihilator, Omen and Prisoner

He wasn`t .Last I heard Kirk Coburn was a muscle-head from Alberta.
You must be referring to Heavy Metal God (NOT!!!) Kurt Cobain - if so then Nirvana

If you mean Kurt Cobain then it was Nirvana, the founders (and gods) of the grunge scene in the early 90s
If you really do mean Kirk Coburn then sorry I don't have a clue...

Yeah, I went to High school with Kirk "Kooky" Coburn. It was a band called the Star Spangled Banana Hammocks.
