looking for the name of the movie that used to be on scifi between 97to99 and the main character had a glass thing given to him by a dead man and it is like physic device too. sits on top of his hand.

hmm well I looked up some anime's I'm not sure if this is it.
but I found a listing of anime's on Sci-fi during the late 90's
Odin: Photon Sailer Starlight this anime mentioned something about a dieing man giving a boy a crystal to insert somewhere. It sounded somewhat similar to what you were mentioning.
