I have a beige color of skin. It is EXTREMLY oily and prone to bad breakouts for which I went to a dermatoligst. The makeup I use now is just cheap stuff and I really want to switch. I want a good, long wearing, buildable, natural, NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS, and good quality. Which offers the best deal? I have a good friend whose grandmother sells Mary Kay but both makeups have great reviews. HELP!

Hi

I just bought Mary Kay foundation on Tuesday, andi have to say it is great. After it dries, the foundation feels like you've used a powder instead of a liquid because liquids tend
to be sticky. It lasts all day long, and your face doesn't become shiny through out the day

They make foundation especially for people who oily skin. They also have amazing face wash that really helps control acne(my mom has it, and I use it)

I would invest in Mary Kay even thought it is a little more expensive because you are getting quality makeup not drugstore make up, and your grandmothers friend might be able to get you a discount!

And to the girl above me, you can have a consultant come to your house and you can test the makeup on your face. Also, if you arent happy with the color or with the product in general, you can exchange it or get your moneyback.

ARBONNE! All of their products are 1) botanically and water based 2) pH correct 3) hypoallergenic 4) dermatologist tested 5) never tested on animals 6) formulated without animal products or by-products 7) formulated without mineral oil 8) formulated without wax, dyes, alcohol, or chemical fragrances 9) formulated with Nanosphere Technology 10) specifically formulated to meet the needs of people with different skin types (dry, oily, combination, acne, sensitive, skin conditions, etc).

You may find that your skin becomes oily due to your products containing mineral oil. The molecular structure of mineral oil is too large to penetrate the pores of your skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. They give a temporary feeling of softness but have little to no long term benefit. You need pure water based products that will penetrate the dermis and deeply condition and hydrate your skin.

I use and love all of Arbonne's products, especially the mineral powder! I can show you how you can purchase Arbonne products at 35% off. There is also a 45 day money back guarantee, no questions asked. If you're open to trying the products, I'll be happy to help you.

Well hopefully you've also looked into a good skincare line...MAC has a good one for oily skin, their Green Gel Cleanser is fantastic. And you still need to moisturize even if your skin is oily. Try MAC Oil Control Lotion. Ok, I'm off that soapbox :)
For your foundation, if you're looking for sheer coverage try Select Tint (also has SPF)
If you need full coverage try Hyper Real by MAC(also has SPF) and maybe a loose powder...
MAC has great products, and they also have a recycling program. So if the environment is important to you, you'll like knowing that if you bring back 6 empty cartridges to MAC you get a free lipstick. If you're lucky and have an actual MAC store in your area (not a department store) then you can get lipstick, Lip Glass or eyeshadow with the return of your 6 cartridges. Good luck to you!

First off, a good Skin care routine is your first line of defense. Also whatever product line you decide to go with, the products are formulated to work together so don't mix and match! I personally love Mary Kay, and they have 100% satisfaction guarantee. You can get your money back or exchange it, also you have the personal advice of the consultant who has a huge amount of resources available to her to help personalize it to your skin needs.
I have heard great things about MAC products, but I don't know much about their company or policies, so I am not much help there. Good luck!

I would not use Mac foundation, I feel it contributes to breakouts. If you want to use a good foundation, purchase a good oil free one. Clinique has some good ones. I use Superfit. Its great.
Mac has nice eyecolors and eye makeup. I have used Marykay also, and I am not too fond of their foundation. But, if I were you, I would go to the makeup counters in the mall, have them find an oil free foundation thats right for you and ask for samples of them. Then see which one you like best.

Best Wishes.

Mary Kay has the best eye liner, mascara, cover up and those kinds of things. But MAC has great lip stuff. So it all depends on what you're getting.

i have tried both.

and after trying both, i highly suggest MAC.
i think that the colors stay on longer, the colors are prettier, and that MAC is better quality then Mary Kay.

MAC is also easier to locate.
MAC is found in department stores and you can get a make over from their employees.
Mary Kay you have to order and find a saleslady to come to your house, and she doesnt even put the make up on you!

in my opinion, MAC has longer lasting color, a better convinence, and better quality.

personally, MAC's powders and foundations soak up more oil on me than Mary Kay.

hope i helped! =]]]

I LOVE MAC because it's so stylish and fun. But people that have bad skin have reported that it tends to clog pores and cause flare ups. I haven't tried Mary K though because it seems like for old people.
