The media has great influence on society, young people specifically. Much of what is transmitted via tv and internet to families around the world is destructive.

The media plays a strong role in shaping culture. Much of the media is controlled by a few multimational conglomerates with great influence so don't you feel they should promote healthy values and safeguard our common good, uphold the truth, protect human dignity and promote respect for the needs of families?

I'm not sure we should trust the media to determine what exactly our "family values" are.

i think you work for the "media". from the long explanation and reasons you give to support your argument. good for you. i completely disagree. the media has no role to play in the bedroom and the family value/s. they do a bad job as it is -- to inform, to educate the public as it is in the right direction (whatever that is) so i would not burden them with another chore. let them report the news as they happen. let them not speculate of what did or did not happen to Nicole or her son. let them also cut it short. i hope all that helPS. and it tells you where i stand on family values.
ps. to each his own -- i do not want to media to tell me what those values are or should be. case closed. but thanks for the asking.

Good luck with that one. More than half of married couples,
divorce & over half of the female population prefers to
stay single.
I'm for people showing kindness & concern for humanity,
but as for the family of the 50's, I don't think anyone would
watch.

I agree with you completely. I am appalled at what I see on television and movies as well. I feel that the media should take a bit of a conservative approach.
