I was reading all the other answers to this question and was laughing. That is how I feel about the name too... and that is hubby's name! Sorry.. I never in a million years thought I would marry an Edward and Eddy or Ed is just as bad! Good luck though
BTW... Hubby hates spaghetti because of being called Eddy spaghetti. lol

I think it sounds very formal and grown up. And, by the way, I read that formal names are coming back. So, I'm sure that Edward will have a friend named Theodore or something like that. So, if you like it, I would go for it.

its ok. if you end up naming him edward then i would call him eddie or something until hes older. edward is a very grown up name.
