I thought for some that babies may be an excuse for marriage....but marriage an excuse for babies....that's a new one on me........

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Man, whats wrong with you? Marriage is a bond between 2 people, sharing, caring, loving, and providing for "eachother". Once 2 people pass all that and can provide for themselves, then 2 people can bring a baby into this world. And babies are no reason for marriage, tho its not fair to the child, people who get married because of pregnancy only end up in divorce court. Use your head man, this is 2007...

No. People have babies outside of marriage. Marriage is like a ritual used to let the world know that you have chosen to be one person.

I don't understand the question. Many people have babies without getting married. Others get married and never have kids. It depends!
