For postal if under 1 pound (16 oz.) its the same price ($0.37 first ounce, $0.27 each additional ounce) to mail a regular envelopes. If the parcel is over 16 oz. it costs a different amount depending upon how far it is going and how soon the sender wishes it to arrive at the destination.

For telephone alot of users have a nation-wide calling plan for about $50.00 per month. It would be free under the plan to call far or local.

For people who don't have a national calling plan, unlimited local calls are free (i.e. included in monthly fee) with a long distance rate of approx. $0.10 per minute. Rates to Canada, Mexico, Japan are more per minute depending upon the contract with the telephone company.

Hope this helps.

It costs the same to mail a first class letter to any city from any city in the U.S. It all changes with packages tho.A first class letter is 39 cents for the first ounce and prorated every half ounce thereafter.Packages are mailed the same as UPS now. It's different for every city from every city and is based on a zoning system like the UPS(United Parcel Service) uses.Go to usps.com for full imfo.
