Yes, because she's over 35 and because she's carrying twins. You should really talk to her about it and maybe she'll take you to an appointment with her, so that the doctor (an expert) can explain things to you.

I don't think so as long as your mom is pretty healthy and continues to eat a good diet while she is pregnant. Has your mom hit menopause or have high blood pressure or diabetes? Yoour mom's dr. will keep a close watch on any health problems your mom may have so that she has a healthy pregnancy and delivers healthy babies. Women over 30 may experience bone problems though. When you are pregnant your bones crack and pop and get stiff when you walk and try to move them after a period of time with no activity, so make sure she watches out for that if she has any prior bone problems. Otherwise, I think she will be fine. So will the babies.
Congratulations!

I don't know if I should say congrats or good luck. You are right there may be risks but I would say most the risk may be your mother and if she can carry the twins to term. She is kind of old but at least she will still be around to see them grow-up. It totally depends on your mothers health both physically and mentally if she is strong she shouldn't have any problems.

there are risks with any pregnancy at any age. one day you will realize that she is not THAT old. women are capable of bearing children beyond 20 and they do it all the time without any problems.

Wow is she ever lucky to have someone who cares about her. You are going to be a great big sis. She'll be fine. The doctors can handle anything that comes up.

Nope. Medicine is very advanced these days. I am a twin and was adopted by parents who were in their late forties. They said it was the best thing that ever happened to them. You are all so very lucky.
