The etiquette of Royal Courts (Versailles, Japanese Imperial Court, etc.) fascinates me. I have heard the rituals and ceremonies were very complex at the Japanese Imperial Court, even the basic etiquette. I am interested in the aspects of etiquette such as forms of address, seating arrangements, etc.

Are there any books or articles or even a good website on Japanese Imperial Court etiquette? Any unique pieces of information on it you might share?

I searched possible sites as much as I could but so far
cannot find out what you are looking for. Best site I can think of at present is website of Japanese Imperial Household.
They have English pages and lots of good information.
