I was taught a trick by an older gentleman who was a detailer for an auto dealership. The cars he cleaned were always spotless, including the windshield. His trick? Use newspaper instead of paper towels or rags. I've been doing that way ever since.

There's a great glass product Called Stoner Invisible Glass. It can be found in any Wal Mart. It appears entirely different than other glass cleaners when sprayed on the inside or out. As others have said wadded up non-colored newspapers work the best. Do the cleaning in a shaded cool spot and spray very little on the glass. You'll notice that the spray is fine and very few bubbles. Stand back and admire your work which requires very little. When using the newspaper rub the glass until it's entirely dry.

Start out using Windex and a FINE grade of steel wool. Then use 2-3 sections of a good brand of paper towel or a clean old towel. Don't use a wet paper towel over and over.... once its wet throw it away!!

If you still have streaks after doing all of the above buy some steel wool pads and go over the streaks. It will make them go away.Works wonders.
