You want "A Great (new) hotel "and" reasonably priced" - I guess it all depends on your idea of reasonable, because there are certainly "great" hotels and there are some(to me) reasonable priced hotels, but not "generally" one in the same.

Great hotels >In order of where I would stay if the room was free. I take many factors into account.

Four star hotels that are very nice & often have very good rates. Both are very good about sending e-mail promotions, if you take the time to sign up for them on their web site.Rates are sometimes as low as $49 and often times $69>if you're willing to be flexible with your schedule and most important. Avoid special events, large conventions and weekends.

Orleans

The Orleans is a great place to stay, they don't have the best of anything, but they have very good everything.

Stratosphere

The Strat is a fairly new hotel, opened in April of 96. It's the location at the far North end of the strip that makes it unpopular. All the better for us bargain hunters.

Some of my favorite places, you might want to check them out to see if they match what you're looking for.

Silverton
Sam's Town

Always try tripadvisor.com . . . also vegas.com has some good links to cheaper sites. Vegas has changed ALOT in 10 years and you are sure to be pleased with the trip. I just got back two weeks ago & I had a BLAST! Have fun & know when to quit gambling (I wish I had) . . he he. Have Fun!
