Hard to say it, but one of my favorites is "The Innocent", by Jack Clayton, with Deborah Kerr. 1961 running, I know! And another one really good is "The Haunting," but the one in 1963, by Robert Wise, not the one in 1999, really boring and forgettable. Classic horror movies, from 30's to 60's, I think are better than the ones from the last 30 years, because I prefer psychic horror rather than the physical one.

We're talking about ghost and ghouls horror, right?? Mine is IT then. Scary as s***, and s*** is pretty scary. If you're talking about any type of horror, then mine would have to be the slasher flick Valentine. Not that scary but still good.
I totally get Amettyville Horror because that might actually be scarier than IT (eek.) Old one of course. New one, well Ryan Renolds definately made it interesting *wink**wink*

Only 2 horror movies managed to send chills up my spine:
Psycho
The Ring
Psycho is a classic, but man, it's a tough decision.

The Ring, or The Hill's Have Eye's. The Amityville Horror was good too, but it's not really scary.

I absolutely love the Sleepaway Camp movies. They are totally cheesy and from the 80's but I love them. And Prom Night 2 Hello Mary Lou was another favorite.

Signs...I know most people say it wasn't that scary but I grew up on a farm like that and had nightmares about being trapped in my house because monsters or wild animals were outside when I was a child. It's my favorite because I actually think it's scary.
