Don't do fire signs because they'll just aggrivate you. Especially Leo. Air signs will never touch base with you and seem detached from emotional-moody Scorpio. Your best bet is with an Earth sign, such as Taurus (my best friend a Scop and her boyfriend a Taurus, its a very balanced relationship.) or Capricorn. Cancer is a good match too and so is a Pisces, if you can handle all of his weird off-topic thoughts and crying fits.
Scorpio's temper can certainly break a Piscean's heart.
