ok. I'm trying to play this flute piece and it has notes that are on top of eachother... like when you look at piano music it means you play them at the same time. well what do you do when you're playing the flute... I know that usually you just play the higher note but is there away where you can play them both... I'm really confused but I have to learn soon for my duet. thanks.

If you're doing a duet, make sure you know whether your partner is going to play the top or bottom notes. That way you'll have a nice harmony. Usually with a big band so many people will be instructed to play the top while the others will be told to play bottom. There's no way that you can play both at the same time.

if its a duet that means one person plays the top note and sum1 plays the bottom and it makes haramony when u guys play it together.
