Yes, tell them. You might be suprise that they like you to. If you don't want to do it face to face email or send a card or a letter. Express how you feel. Do you want to walk around wondering..life is too short. Go ahead and tell them how you feel.

you have nothing to lose.
sure you may be scared to be denied but not finding out or asking is alot worse.
let him or her know.
if it doesnt turn out the way you hoped then move on.
that are alot more sexy fish in the sea.
