One of the consequences is confusion. I think if you look at a marriage you will see alot of negative effects of not communicating properply. So, confusion, misunderstanding, hurt, anger, neglect are some issues which come up as a result of miscommunication.

The people you are trying to communicate with will misunderstand what you are trying to say. Or assumptions will take place resulting in a variety of misunderstandings.
