If I were you, I wouldn't wear any make up. First, it makes you look a lot older or perhaps it's your point to look more mature to attract older guys. Is that what you want?
With that age your skin still in development & is naturally pretty. When you wear make up without really taking care of it (put some cream & fondation before application & washing, cleaning afterwards & peeling once a while), it's gonna make your skin cells dry because the powder just stuck in your skin pores.
I started wearing make up with 18, after all I have very dry skin on my face, although I just put some normal powder, no bronzer. But you know what, you should show off your natural beauty in this age, instead of wearing make up. To be honest, I wear make up because I feel I'm not pretty enough. My ex-boyfriend which is my husband now, told me that I shouldn't put on make up because natural beauty is the best & it looks more attractive. He said men love natural beauty.
Well, it's your choice though. I think the most important to have a beautiful face is, by taking care of your skin very well, neat & clean appearance and having self-esteem. In case you wanna wear make up, then apply EITHER light mascara OR eyeliner & apply lips moisturer/ gloss is more than enough. You won't need bronzer, it's gonna dry up your skin & it kills healthy skin cells.
I'm 28 now & wish that I can put the time back. I want to look younger & stay with healthy moisture skin. I would delay to wear that make up stuffs as late as possible and to take care my skin carefully instead.
About your parents, they do it for your own good, I'm sure they would let you wear make-up when the time comes. Trust me, if you could be mature and be responsible of taking good care of your skin & having great natural appearance, it will expose your internal beauty automatically. People will be attracted to you just the way you are; you're gonna impress them in a positive way. Make up is a bit tricky, when you do it wrong or too much, people would judge your personality wrong too! I think your parents are trying to protect you because they love you. Once they realize that you are a responsible person & know how to behave, they would allow you automatically.

Yes you can use some mascara maybe. At your age i didnt wear any make up but that was because I never had any and no one to show me how to put it on. Make sure if you wear any you make it look natural ... like do not overload on mascara or bronzer. But hey if you naturally have a good complexion then you should only need a tiny bit of help ..like mascara only or only bronzer ... you are very very young

if u don't need makeup, i would sya don't wear it.....but u are 16 ans u said u only want to wear bronzer and mascara....i don't think there's anything wrong with that but as for foundation and all that cover-up stuff, if u don't need it, don't wear it! try to convince ur parents by showing them what it look like and that its totally safe.....research the makeup and ingredients online if they have a problem with u using the makeup because of chemicals....tel them u will stay away from foundation (which can cause wrinkles at any earlier age if u use too much and stuff)
good lucK!

I would think 16 is old enough. A little mascara and bronzer seems perfectly fine for someone your age. It's not about 'need', really. I don't know how you can convince them, it depends how set against it they are. Maybe you could offer to show them how you would do it so it wouldn't bother them so much. Get some cheap-ish makeup and demonstrate how subtle it would be. My mom let me wear very subtle makeup at 13.

As a mother, I think the best way to show your parents you are old enough for make up is 1)to be responsible, follow house rules etc. 2) In a casual conversation, express your interest in learning more about wearing makeup appropriate for your age. Don't get defensive! Just bring it up to your parents and discuss it like an adult. Don't expect them to change their minds overnight. 3) At 16 there really is no need to wear makeup, but taking good care of your skin is super important. Talk to your parents about a skin care program for you. There are alot of great products out there. I am partial to Mary Kay's Velocity program. It has helped my daughter's skin a bunch! Good luck!

you are two years away from being old enough to vote. You are young lady now and soon to be an adult. I dont see anything wrong with bronzer and mascara. When you start to wear dark lip stick, heavy eye liner and waaaay to eyeshadow, then thats wrong on too many levels. good luck

Well theres no exact age where you should start wearing make up, its when you and your parents agree that you're old enough for it. But I started wearing make up when I was almost fourteen because I didnt believe it was such a big deal. Wearing too much of it can make you age faster. But you should definitely talk it out with your parents, dont go behind their backs and wear it because that shows immaturity. Maybe you can set limits, such as you cant wear heavy makeup until a certain age, but as for now maybe you can start by wearing light eye liner, and a small amount of mascara. Setting limits can help your parents realize you're old enough for it.

Tell your parents that you won't try to over-do it. Mabye use a brown mascara, and a little bronzer in the summer. (It might look fake in the winter) If your parents are so worried, find some pictures of "natural" make up, and say, "I like this look, what do you think?"
And If they are really strct, try just lip gloss/stick.
I don't see why you shouldn't be able to wear make up.
***Tell them that make up enhances, not covers!****

Well the best way to do this would be to take them to a school function such as a BB game and then calmly point out all the girls in your grade wearing make-up and tell them you don't even want to wear as much as some of them are- and explain what type you would like to use and tell them you will buy it yourself with your own $$ and tell them it is just your way to bring out some of your better features! And if they agree to it, the first time you do use it be very subtle about it so they don't think they made the wrong decision and be sure to THANK them!Good Luck!
