Welker, McMichael, Harrington?
I think they are good players...

considering we got a 2nd and 7th for Welker... I loved him, but, consider this
Marshall Faulk was traded for a 2nd
Corey Dillon was traded for a 2nd
Terrell Owens was traded for a 2nd
Miami gets a 2nd and a 7th for Wes Welker
Harrington? No big loss - plenty of Int's each game. He was outplayed by Cleo Lemon the last month of the season
McMichael? Does any TE drop more passes? or disappear after October 1st every season? Notice he also signed with the Rams for LESS money than he was going to make in Miami this season.

McMichael was a mistake. One of the games more stable TE. Harrington was a money thing. Too many INT's for the money when he plays. Welker can be replaced in the draft. Notice that McMichael was without a team for a whole 48 hours! Wish the Panthers would have signed him.

McMichael was the only player who was worth keeping. He has been solid. Harrington, just doesn't understand the minor details of quarterbacking and cost too much money. Welker was a good return man and decent 3rd reciever, but not worth what the patriots paid to get him or the contract offered.

Harrington is a back-up at best at this point IMO. Welker...they didn't have a choice, and the Patsies came to a gentlemen's agreement over him to avert any poison-pill ugliness(he was a RFA.) IMO, Welker was good, but a 2nd and 7th is pretty nice comp for him. As for McWifebeater....classless guy who had a major case of the dropsies. Now that you finally demoted that buffoon Mularkey, your offense will be better regardless. No matter...we'll still squish the hell out of you guys!

A new coaching staff has different requirements from their players. They may think that these players no longer fit their system. (Or are too expensive to keep)
