There is usually a button labeled FN or something similar, but in a different color than the regular keys. When you press it, the number pad is turned on, and when you let up it is turned off. Most units have a FN Lock as well.

IBM Thinkpads never had the keypad on the keyboard. However if you need a Keypad they can be plugged in the USB port, some have a hub so you can daisychain more usb accessories.

Some laptops have a keypad on their keyboard. My laptop has one. It's a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. You turn it on by pressing Num Lock; in other words, Number Lock, but on the keyboard, it says Num Lock.

Numerical keypads can usually be activated by pressing the NumLock key (sometimes in addition to the 'Function') button.
The numbers would probably displayed in a different color than the standard keys (i.e. blue).

turn it off and till it dries thoroughly to keep away from exacerbating the hardware injury. Then take it in to somebody who knows a thank you to repair those issues. it is probable fixable whether it particularly is going to fee you; in case you have a low priced pc (like a quickbook or a low end everyday pc) then you could in simple terms be extra perfect off changing it, so ask for an estimate till now they do any artwork on it.
