I want to put the 350 in the truck. What do I need to do to hook up the fuel injection system, I also was thinking about just putting a carb on it what would I have to do to switch it. what one will be better the tbi or the carb. Then is there anyway I can put powersteering in. Also will the 350 bolt to the stock four speed trans.

I suspect you may need to replace the distributor with an older HEI unit. I THINK yours is controlled by the computer on 1990 vehicles. Check it out.

The 350 will bolt right up to the trans. The only real difference is how the intake manifold bolts to the engine; I would recommend going online to Jegs, order up the correct intake and carb, and forget the TBI injection. Will have more power, easier to hook up! The power steering setup from just about any '60's or 70's small block vehicle will work; Summit has complete kits. Check it out! Sounds like a great project!

dude....stick with the fuelie. all you have to do is use the '90 engine wiring harness & computer. make sure all the proper sensors are in place & find a way to graft the fuel pump into the tank.
