Apple Computers are by far the best in the market. They are backed by a strong R & D development staff at Apple, more than 5% of total costs.
The R&D at Dell is ridiculous. They can't improve their quality since Dell is a mere assembler of parts.

I'm very pleased with my new computer which is a Dell desktop. It is now 6 months old. A Mac is more like a Apple Computer. I don't even know if the Company makes software for Mac because the industry keeps changing regarding computers. I hopes this helps you out.

Well Mac makes INCREDIBLE laptops AND desktops I am currently using a Mac Mini. It has a LOAD of memory space and it's no bigger than a bread box! It's a VERY simple box that you can hookup to ANY moniter, mouse, keyboard etc. Macs are great if you're a business person and need FAST and reliable connections and speed on your computer. Macs are GREAT for multi-media. For instance I used to skate and I made like 8 skate videos on my Macintosh! They're GREAT! As for PC's I don't really like them. I think they're slow and awkward and the icons for the software takes up too much desktop space. I also think they catch bugs and viruses MUCH easier. My mom has had the same Mac for 10+years and she's NEVER had a problem with it, and upgrading the system took almost NO work at all. I mean if you wanna a better understanding watch or look up on YouTube the Mac Vs. PC commercials! Sure you're going to dish out more, but in the long run it's DIFFINATELY worth it to get a Mac.
Hope this helps!

It's dismaying that a person identifying himself as a "Dell Tech" posts this perpetuation of an old wives' tale:
"9 Mac is limited to upgrade
10 PC is NOT limited to upgrade."
This is in no way true. His information is totally wrong. Most of his other points oversimplify the truth of the situation. But this pair of """facts""" amounts to an outright lie.
-----And perhaps some PC fan can explain to me the value of struggling to use a PC -- as most PC users do, evidenced by all the requests about how to view attachments, how to reallocate memory to an application, and a lot of other very simple stuff that most Mac users know how to do -- is an advantage for prospective computer buyers. It's as if these PC users want the PC to get points for having a poorly engineered Graphic User Interface that makes it more difficult to use.

Hello. I am not sure if you will agree with me, but I am still taking the chance to help you understand certain things...
Mac and PC.
Mac computers are known as the best security computer. They're no known viruses for Mac OS today, but there is a fact to that, though.... Please note that only 10% of the world use Mac, while 90% use PC.... This is plain logical; the higher the percentage is, the more attractive it is. My point is: Mac is not vulnerable to viruses because they're only 10% popular compared to PC's 90%..... Please also note that viruses are made by hackers and computer geek... My point again is, of course, it makes no sense to write viruses for Mac computers because it is a waste of time infecting only 10%, whereas you could spend that valuable time to infect 90%... Note that the reason people write viruses is to become rich, like stealing people's credit card and other sensitive information... In plain words, would you rob 10% of Mac users than 90% of PC users? That's my point right there.
Mac is more expensive because Mac parts are NOT from third party distributors. Mac parts are made by ONLY apple.
Another reason Mac computers are more expensive is because ONLY Mac softwares can be used on a Mac.
Let me simplify this down for you:
1 Mac is not vulnerable to viruses because people rarely buy Mac computers.
2 PC is very vulnerable to viruses because PC gets more attention.
3 There is nothing a Mac can do that a PC cannot do.
4 There is a lot of things a PC can do that a Mac cannot do.
5 PC is not limited to softwares.
6 Mac is very limited to softwares.
7 Mac makes lightweight computers better than PC
8 PC is faster than a Mac because PCs are known as entertainment computers.
9 Mac is limited to upgrade
10 PC is NOT limited to upgrade.
11 Mac is limited to games
12 PC is NOT limited to games
Many people argue that Mac has a better GPU than PC. Note that GPU means ( Graphic Card)... Mac does not have a better GPU over a PC because, once again, Mac is limited to games, while a PC needs the best GPU to play games.
The only advantage Mac has over a PC is security, like not vulnerable to viruses... But if you use a subscribed Anti Virus software on your PC, you will NOT get a virus, unless you foolishly download free softwares off the Internet.
Please also note that MAC is very good for people who aren't educated about computer technologies. Mac protects you from all harm. It is a different story with PC... PC depends on you to protect it... That's why it is recommended for computer literates to use PCs.
Anyway, MAC VS DELL.... I would choose a Dell because Dell uses windows, while Mac uses Mac OS X...
Note that you can get a Mac for the highest price $4000, and you can get a Dell as its highest price $5000
If you are ONLY concerned about viruses, then choose a Mac so it protects you. But if you want to exceed your enjoyment and get the MOST entertainment, get a DELL...
You have a great day.

The MAC gets the nod. A Dell is just another sub-brand PC.
---My MAC has powerpoint, word, excel and all that other geeky Windblows stuff. Don't listen to most of what you hear here.
And Dr. House, if the MAC is really engineered to be idiot proof, then why is a WINDOWS PC the computer of choice for so many idiots who always weep and moan on here about not being able to get used to the MAC, and can't even figure out how to configure their email account or move an MP3 from a computer to an MP3 player on their PC?
