I know there's different kinds of things that you can use for facial care. I'm just confused, what exactly do toners do?

toners are supposed to makes your pores smaller and your face firmer.....but i asked my dermatologist if i should use one and she said No....she said all i need to do is wash my face with my cleanser and then use the cream Finacea she gave me and i will be fine and an oil-free moisturizer like cetaphil or something....and my skin is fine now.....ask ur doctor before u start using a toner....i really don't think they are necessary but everyone thinks differntly..

to make ur pores smaller , skin firmer.. u can do the same thing with cold water after u wash ur face with warm water ... of coz is better than cold water but do the same job
. if u are in teenage.. for get to by the toner only if u have spot on ur face..

Toners seperate the colors (if you are doing streaks) and it makes them vonurable to there own color and it helps the strands of your hair accept the color
