How bout i don't and just go out of pure knowledge?

As a football fan and statician standpoint...

YES.. Peyton Manning is now officially the greatest QB to ever grace the NFL. He has broken tons of the QB Records, now has a ring, and guess what people... he has plenty of years left. He'll finish up on those records... take probably 80-90% of them, AND possibly get another SB ring.. maybe two.

Manning is the greatest, but you can't give him all the credit. Without the skill of Harrison and Wayne, he wouldn't have gotten there so fast, but without them.. he STILL would have got there. He's just a pure and simple QB, and is now developing his legs so he can run when he HAS to... not like all the QBs who try to take the shine.

Manning = Best QB, GREAT Personality, and great knowledge.
meaning:
Manning = Greatest QB ever, hands down.

Big deal if Brady has rings.... he has a piss-poor personality and is lacking on knowledge how to act in a game. He is one of the biggest whiners in the league, and if you say he isn't, you have never seen him play and do not even deserve to speak about football. Brady = good QB... but he isn't smart. I mean look at Roethlisberger. He is a complete idiot, and is the most over rated player in the league, and he has a ring due to his defense and his former running back.

Manning = greatest. Rings don't make the greats. Records, stats, and how they act = up to the greatest.

No for the love of God no. I still don't think he deserved a super bowl. Thanks to an inspired defense and a solid run game, they were able to cancel out the horrible and ill judgments of Peyton. He never plays in the post season like he does in the regular season, so that answer is no. The best QB ever is Joe Montana, the guy was smart athletic, and just a gamer. Plus there are a handful of qbs who could do what Peyton does if they had his stellar o line. The guy never gets sacked and could hold on the ball forever if he really wanted. Peyton sorry to say, but you are and never will be Tom Brady.

This is joke right? I would like to see him average more then 25 tds a year in Chicago or Green Bay. This guy blows if when the wind does. Gee, Yah he is the best qb ever if conditions are perfect. Put him OUTSIDE and in the ELEMENTS and he is just good. Since football is considered an outdoor sport he will never be considered even top 10 in my book.

Spare me the stats garbage. Lets see what his season averages would be if he was outside every game and in below freezing in 50% of those.

Lets put him behind an O-line that lets him get sacked 50 times in a season. Way too much credit is given to him when his Wr's are some of the best around at getting open. You know those long TD passes to Marvin who is wide open down the center of the field? Who you think got Marvin that wide open? I think it was Marvin.

He had 13tds and 9 ints on the road this past season and that is with a great pass blocking O-line and great healthy Wr's.

It's up for debate.I don't think Peyton would put up such great numbers every year if he didn't throw touchdowns when he's on goaline. He's without a doubt the best Qb of this era.He picks apart defenses constantly and is unstoppable.I think Dan Marino and John Elway would have an edge on him though. He's top 5 imo.

Peyton is in the top ten not number one. And I am a big fan of Peyton Manning. He is one of the hardest working quarterbacks in the NFL.

sorry man. i like manning a lot and was happy to see him finally win a SB, but theres no way he is the best ever. hes not even the best QB in the AFC. yep thats right its tom brady. brady doesnt have all the #s peyton has, but he has 3 rings and he always wins with crappy WRs. if you put brady on the colts, i bet he can put up peytons numbers or at least close to it. put manning on the pats and peyton would be breaking all of marinos records because he would be passing to troy brown and reche caldwell instead of harrison and wayne.
anyhow, he passes marino in my mind, but not elway, not steve young, and definitely not joe montana.

He's only won one Super Bowl. Ask me when he's got 3 or 4 rings. He's definitely the best QB in the league right now and I'd put him in the top 10.

Hell No when you say best quarterback ever you are putting him over people like Johnny Unitus. Hell even Tom Brady Is better. Any one can win a Super Bowl these days even though they are my favorite team. Look at the Steelers

Peyton is one of the top ten of all time in ability. His Father, Archie, taught him very well. He understands the game and is tough like Unitas was in his day. Upon his day of hanging up his cleats he will be mentioned with Elway, Unitas, Marino, Tittle, and others! Each year watching him is a gift so enjoy him while he continues to play!

He isn't the best all-time but he is up there. He is the best of the newer generation of quarterbacks. He is probably bound for the Hall of Fame if he keeps this up.
