So besides the Hermosa, Manhattan, Redondo "meat" market bars are there any really cool bars in the So. Bay Area ( San Pedro, Long Beach) that young people can just hang out in? I'm talking about a bar where you don't put on your heels and your cutest dress but you throw on some comfy shoes and go with your friends kind of bar.

Search by city (it will include surrounding areas, too) and category "bars" (I think it is) and you'll see all the reviews. It's real people writing reviews for places they've really been and they tell it like it really is. The sort of place you're looking for used to be called a neighborhood bar or tavern, but that's no longer true. Good luck!

Hey! Patrick Malloy's at Hermosa Beach is pretty chill, I wouldn't call it a meat market.
