Your birth sign refers to your sun sign, where the sun was located at the time of your birth. For example if you were born March 9 2007, your birth sign, or sun sign under which you were born would be approximately 18 1/2 degrees Pisces. Your moon, however, would be in Scorpio; the exact degree would depend on your place and time of birth, as would your ascendant, or rising sign, and your midheaven (MC). And Venus would be in Aries; Mercury, in Aquarius; Saturn in Leo, etc. Now, if you want to know what all that means, that could take a while.
