For the weight issue, you should watch what you eat. But that is common sense, but another thing you can do is instead of eating three meals a day you should consider eating something small and nutritious every two hours. This will help to build your metabolism and in the long run help you lose weight faster. Exercising is a must even if you do something as simple as walking or taking the stairs. Also don't worry so much about everything if you are going to lose weight then you are going to do it, but until you are serious about it you will fall back into your old habits.
For the piercing question sure go ahead you only live once and it does not hurt at all. I just got my ears pierced one year ago and it took me so long because I thought it was going to hurt. It didn't and I got both of my holes done at the same time. Also I am not one for pain so I definitely would not lie to you about it hurting. I was chewing my friend out while I was getting mine done and I yelled at the lady "hurry up" and she was like but I am done. So yeah. I can't help you on the last one because I wear a fro but you might be able to find some styles in a few hair mags.

I'm a firm believer in one of those diets of eating grape nuts cereal or special k cereal twice a day then a reasonably healthy dinner, or some other food that advertises lose 10 lbs. in 2 weeks by eating it twice a day, then one other meal. Excersise is definitely another big thing. You can't maintain it without getting into a routine of excersise every morning or evening.
I got my ears double pierced, the farther you go up, the more it hurts b/c of the cartilege. It'll hurt more than the first time, but not as bad as way up top. And your hair? Get some barrettes and clips and start playing with it. Some stretchy headbands with designs and hard headbands. There's a million things to do to make it more fun!

ex: squash, zuchinni, watermelon
-ab crunches/sit-ups
ears pierced:
-it depends if you like it
