ETA Hoffmann fans. Anyone read the Elixir?

Checked out copy in Derby Public Library but seems quite hard to get a hold of.

Have to wait a little while longer probably this evening to end question and give you best answer. Unfortunately off to the pub now so it will be several hours but that shouldn't be a problem

Of course! ETA Hoffman is great. He has influenced all subsequent horror and weird fantasy writers ever sense he published his tales. I suggest you read the life and opinions of the tom cat murr. A really fun novel. Check out the following links for more info.
