The word fanny in some cultures is slang for vagina where in others it is slang for butt/bum. Either way, it's your "seat." It's not considered proper etiquette, but if it doesn't embarrass you, scratch away. Know you will get some "looks" but one who does such a thing is looking to shock others or attract attention anyway. Unless of course the person is "challenged." You decide how you want to be perceived.

The best way to disspell an itch is with a tight slap. Seriously, it breaks up the excited elctrons.
Of course, slapping yourself liek that in public could get you arrested- make sure you have a copy of this on hand at all times so you can prove your innocence!
