And he is to lazy to grade papers, so the whole class has D's , and my friend went to talk to him about it, and he implied that she was stupid, when she ISN'T! She is actually pretty smart.

I think it's wrong. He should be encouraging you to spend your time productively rather than thinking about the stupid labels he gives you. If I were you I'd say "My name is .. (so and so). Please call me... (your first name)" next time he calls you Wannabe Emo in front of others.
*******
Ahh, for inappropriate comments and sexist remarks he can and should get punished. Write down exactly what he said and when, bring it to your parents. They should talk to the Principal, he/she will know what to do because he/she won't want the school to be sued. That's how I stopped one of my teachers from saying stuff like "the pretty girls shouldn't study as hard and don't need to be in school, that's why I'm going to fail you". Hehehehe!!!! There was no law suite but he got chewed out allright and never said it again.

This is Very Abusive! I think the teacher does not belong in this Career Field at ALL. Call The State Board of Education.
The teacher may have friends at the local board of education and this could be why he is doing this type of behavior.
No one should label anyone at anytime. I would think he would be a role model for the class not a labeler. This teacher has to have some low self esteem issues or something going on in his personal life. This is just my own opinion.
May want to see if you can get out of his class and see who he labels next whenever you are gone.

Well ur teacher sounds sick and needs help but yeah I would say that teachers r going to naturally label students. It is wrong and I hate the way that s**it works but people naturally judge other people. When u see someone who stinks and looks dirty and wears holy clothes and all that u know ur gonna label them as a bum. Or if at school u see the little goody goodies that think they are better than u and wear all those expensive clothes, and you label them as a "prep" or "stuck up bi*ch" ur gonna label them right? So yeah teachers r gonna do the same thing to you students.

I doubt anyone would disagree with you, seriously.
This person should be reported for emo abuse. Period.
What does he even know about what peopl your age say is emo.
I'm 29, my son's 12, and I know I'm getting to the point where even I'm out of the loop.
What a horrible thing to say to you.
But, I can't call him a loser, hunh? Cause then I'd be labelling him.

Your spelling is fine, don't sweat
Yes something is terribly wrong with any teacher who keeps such things in his desk.
I would recommend that you tell someone and forget him calling you emo because only ignorant people label others.
Also he is a teacher and he shouldn't be calling you anything besides your name.

I love my label maker....I guess labeling people would be difficult if they keep moving.
If you are getting emotional over being called a name, wouldn't that sort of be stressing his point? Just tell him he is a stereotype as well, the "ignorant instructor" or come up with your own clever label. If he can't handle that, he's obviously a bully or a very insecure guy.

sounds like he is crazy or something ot have a knife stuck in his desk. You are aware than students can't have weapons like knives and guns at school so I am pretty sure that he can't either. Report him. He deserves it.
No one should judge another person by their looks. Its immature and adults his age should have gotten over it days ago.

People attach labels to others because it gives them a feeling of bogus superiority in a class structure. It's comfortable and intellectually lazy to just dump people into catagories it's harder to actual talk to someone and see them for the individual they are.
When we label others into a clique we often show our prejudices.
