Most people do not believe that money has anything to do with crime, but with the cost of living going through the roof, it makes sense. Opinions??

It absolutely does! You cannot ignore the numbers. Areas stricken with the worst poverty generally have very high crime rates. Maybe it comes from a feeling of desperation and a "survival of the fittest" attitude, who knows? But crime is certainly impacted by finances in this nation.

Well, if you had nothing and wanted to have just a little something, what would you do? would you care where it came from? would you care who it hurt? would you feel better about your situation? What if you needed money "that bad"? Same questions apply. What if you hate a particular group of people and they seem to have everything you want to have? Why would you hesitate hurting and taking what you want? Hard work is not an option for all. Their work is to terrorize the working. They still end up with nothing, so the cycle never ends.

Who said that money has nothing to do with crime? Money has EVERYTHING to do with crime. Crime rate and Poverty are linked hand in hand.
