He crossed the goal line with a push, yea it happened but it wasn't called. Maybe if the ND defense could stop someone on 4th and 9 rather than giving up a 60+ yard completion we wouldn't be having this conversation 2 years later.
That was one hell of a game though. Go Trojans.

Well, Booty is and always will be mad booty. I love Notre Dame with nearly ever fiber of my body and I hate USC. The qb crossed the goal line and it was a fair, which i hate. I wish there was a rule, that if your rb pushes t quarter back (the reggie bush push), you get a 60 yard penalty...then we'd of had it...sigh

The "Bush Push" play was illegal, So no USC did not deserve to win, but none of this really matters anymore since the only thing that stands now are the memories and the stat books, neither of which will ever be changed/

yes it is illegal to assist a player with the ball forward as it is to climb a team members back to get in the endzone. but it doesnt really matter anymore its over . it just makes me laugh though at all the notre dame haters that always have to chime in with great words of wisdom . like why nd should be in a conference why they are so overrated every year how their schedule is soft because they play army and navy.why should they have a special deal with the bcs. truth of the matter is the haters dont understand loyalty. notre dame plays navy because navy helped keep the doors open during the war by sending middys there to be educated when enrollment was down (loyalty ).why shouldnt the academies be allowed to play nd or any other d1 school.they should be allowed to play the best college has to offer because they fight for everything on the field despite the fact they know they have little chance of winning because you wont find a randy moss or a maurice clarrette there. academy athletes are actual students who live by a code of honor duty and respect these are things sadly alot of college programs are missing right miami. bottom line is notre dame many not win as many games as say usc or florida but one thing i can say is notre dame is not a football factory. they have one of the highest grad rates every year and hold there athletes to higher standards than others schools. there students are deeply involved in the community and yes they have money and influence because o my god they actually learned something in college other than where the field is located and who is gonna take this weeks exam for me . they are the class of college football. keep on cheering for your team cause i sure as hell will always cheer for my domers . and if we lose that Saturday the world will still turn and life will go on and in may when college grads are looking for work the florida players who dont get drafted can go to work for a notre dame grad

what do you and your dad think about the pounding USC put on ND MOST RECENTLY?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!!
i was there and let me tell you how sweet it was to watch the ND student body rush the field, only to have to walk back and watch their team lose!!!! it was even sweeter at this last game when ND fans were running their mouths in the parking lot all day about how badly theyre were going to beat USC...it didnt quite work out how they hoped!
yeah he got pushed, yeah its illegal, BUT players do that in every game. the refs dont call it because they call consistent penalties. if theyre not going to call it on the 1st play of the game, they dont call it on the last. every game players on BOTH sides get away with penalties. dont whine about the last play. not to mention that was 10/2005...you should move on...

He crossed the line but received a push from one of his teammates. That's illegal!
Penalty, turnover on downs, Notre Dame ball.

He got across the line, I was at that game.
Sit back and watch the ND fans whine, my friends, just sit back.
And actually, getting a push isn't illegal. They do it all the time, and do it TONS in the NFL.
I'm a fullback in highschool, and when the HB just shut down, i burst up and give him a push through. Not just myself, me and a couple o-line. We get plenty of TD's that way.

The refs and the NCAA disagree with you. I believe he did get in. I also believe Reggie Bush pushed him in and there should have been a penalty called on this.
But all the belief in the world isn't going to change the final score.

No, in fact the left OT was not set and his hand lifted before the center snapped the ball thus creating a false start.
