I have heard that a cluttered desk is the sign of genius. If a cluttered house is the same, I better take the test for Jeopardy!

Yeah I think there is some truth in that. But what I know for sure is, is if my house is cluttered or messy, it's usually because I'm not feeling great, or something is not right in my life at that time. And I feel great when my house is neat and tidy.

Sorry but I don't believe if your house is clutter, makes you have a clutter life. or the other way to. To me you make your life like you want to make it.

Nope, I don't believe in that saying at all. My room is messy, my life is organized. I know where everything and others don't. Its when I clean my that my life becomes cluttered. We live in a chaotic world, which demands sifting through mess in our external environment. At our jobs and school, we have to sift through the mess of others just to have our own affairs in order. For these reasons, I don't believe in that statement at all.

Yes i do actually... i like fueng shui also, but seriously it is true.... it is almost like the clutter reflects the way a person's life is chaotic and un-organized, and reflects what is going on inside them and their lives too, i don't like a cluttered house everthing must be neat, tidy, and airy..... clutter is bad.

NO, you always have caios no matter how organized you are. Clutter in your life comes in many different forms. You may be the most organized person, but that doesn't mean you keep your emotions and thoughts in order.

I think that it definitely helps. If you think about it, having a really messy/cluttered etc house would make you feel overwelmed with tasks. With all that pressure and stuff. If your house is clean and organized, my opinion is that it would make you feel that you've accoplished something and stuck with it. Therefore, you would have less to worry about reducing stress.
Just something i feel

All I can tell you is you can judge how I am feeling emotionally by looking at my house. I'm bi-polar and when I get really depressed I don't wash dishes, vacuum, make the bed or any of the things "normal" people do. When my house is nasty, I feel nasty. When my house is clean it makes me feel better and the whole world looks a little brighter. Hope this helps.

(*laughter*) I believe a house that's in order is easier to keep clean, and easier to find things in. My house is currently VERY cluttered and it's making me NUTS!!
