Like growing? If you get enough amount of sleep?

You need sleep for your general health.

But your height is determined by your genetics/genes. If you get 6 hours of sleep instead of 8....it's not going to stunt your growth at all. And getting MORE sleep isn't going to make you grow taller. There is nothing that will make you grow. No pills, devices, exercises, stretches.....nothing. You'll be done growing by the time you hit 20 and that is how tall you will be.

Sort of. After a full nights rest you are actually a little bit taller than you were before you went to bed. This happens because after a whole day awake, all that gravity pulling you down puts lots of pressure on your joints, making you shrink.

To really answer your question, sort of. Getting 8 hours of sleep will help you grow because your body is most likely in one of it's lowest states and can work on growing since it does not have to spend much energy on you shifting in your bed.

I read a long time ago that sleep is the time the body does most all of its growing. That's probably why babies sleep 90 percent of the time.
