Trying to think of something a bit original for my friends daughters 16th? Any ideas?

everyone loves to dress up - so i'd do a co-ed mascarade party...i went to one and it was so fun - like halloween :)

A 16th birthday is a VERY IMPORTANT birthday in a girl's life.You need to let your daughter have the best birthday any girl has ever dreamed of.What you could do is.....
1.Rent a new movie which has just been released.
2.Have a theme party.(You should use the theme of the movie which you have rented.)
3.Tell the invited persons to dress according to the theme.
4.DO NOT tell your daughter that you are throwing her a party.But buy/get some clothes which match the theme of the movie for your daughter.DO NOT tell her what the clothes are for.
5.DO NOT wish your daughter "Happy Birthday."Make her think you forgot.
6.Make the food you get match the theme.(If you are having a Hawaian theme,you could maybe decorate the cake with a hula dancer....etc..)
7.Get a place to host the party.And decorate the place according to the theme.
8.Take your daughter there.DO NOT tell her where and why you are going.
9.Make the guests yell "Surprise!" when your daughter enters the room.
10.Play the movie and have fun!

When my sister turned sixteen, we had a scavenger hunt; SO FUN! Split the girls up into groups of five w/ adult chaperone; Each group had one hour to collect as many things off a list of items as possibe. (for example: 1991 penny, stamp, pencil, paperclip, etc.)
You go to houses in the neighborhood to get these things; everyone has a junk drawer and people LOVE to help out. We also made a goal of getting items (FREE) from businesses in the surrounding area with the business names on it (disposable ashtrays, matches, flyers, menus, etc.)
Group who ends up with the most stuff, wins!
