Xbox Live offers several downloadable games. Though most of them are simple arcade style games.
If you are looking for games like Elder Scrolls IV: Obilivion, it will not be available sadly.

The only game sthat you can buy, besides demos, are arcade games that have Xbox Live features. To get most of them, you will need Microsoft points, which is basically electronic money, i think it is like $10.00 for 800 or something like that. Any full game is not available for download, excuding the demo.
