It's being promoted by Oprah, which *snort* says a lot.
I heard a comedian doing a bit on it. I didn't realize she was referring to this book at the time but now it makes sense.
She was saying how O would lay in her tub with candles and scents and do these visualizations or whatever to attract wealth.
The comedian was like "yeah, Oprah, you fart and a million bucks comes flying out. How well does this work for crack ho's who don't have a fancy tub, candles and lavender oil to bask in?"

Yes, and it's nothing new. The laws of attraction have been around for a long long time and have been used by many belief systems for centuries. Just because someone packaged it as a "secret" people are giving her money hand over fist. Great marketing tool.

Yes, it's by Rhonda Byrne and it's about the law of attraction (not a new concept), in which what you think about is what will come to you. So therefore you only think about the things you want and do not think about the things you don't want. I haven't read the whole book...sounds kind of far fetched, but I've heard good things about the book.
