1) Where can we find info about the past and present locations of these 12 known astrological bodies?
Mercury
Venus
Moon
Earth or Sun rel. to Earth
Ceres
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
Pluto and Charon
Eris

2) Could Eris be related to Pisces and Ceres to Cancer?

3) Is there a possibility that astrologers would have mistaken Jupiter and Mars as the tutor planets for Sagittarius and Aries? I don't know about you, yet I firmly believe that Mars' ethymology (it's named after a war god) is closer than Jupiter's (named after the Roman god of justice, hence of lobbying) to the sagitarian prototype. In fact Sagisttariuses are no lobbyers and NOT AT ALL related to justice (i.e. they often think of themselves as unequal to most people, and prefer journalism to rude bitching unlike the Aries).
From there, either the name doesn't represents the real god, or the gods are mixed up.

1) These may be helpful, although you will need to translate the tables into astrological terms.

The US Naval Observatory has calculated ephemerides for 15 major asteroids, but I was unable to find a link to the actual tables.

You will probably have to calculate your own ephemeris for Eris, although JPL may have done this calculation.

For traditional data, you might find this site interesting:

2) That's what astrological research is for. Having lost interest in same some time ago, I'm unwilling to speculate.

3) "Rulership of sign" was determined before the planets had the names we presently give them. For instance, I was taught that Jupiter (Jove) was the Roman equivalent for the Greek Zeus, who was not particularly interested in justice. That was the realm of Athena (Venus).

Edit:
I am dismayed and offended by the vehement attacks engendered by this question. Quite obviously, possession of a phd in one field is no assurance of any knowledge whatsoever in another. That astrology is a bona fide field of study was quite capably demonstrated by Sir Isaac Newton.

First, learn the distinction between astrology and astronomy.

Astrology is pseudo-science based on myths and folklore.

Astronomy is the scientific study of the nature and motions of celestial objects.

I think there is a section in "Answers" for questions about astrology. I have heard that it is in the "entertainment" section, which is where it belongs, as it has no value in any other way.

Astrology is pure fantasy, and in no way related to the real study of the stars. Just a moment of logical thought, if you are capable of it, will make it clear to you that it is outrageously unrealistic to imagine that the motions or positions of objects in the sky, at very, very great distances could in any way affect events, personalities, or relationships here on earth.

Do yourself a favor, and stop worrying about astrology and other "signs in the sky." These are worthless pursuits. Instead invest your time and energy in the study of real scientific knowledge. It will profit you in countless ways that myths and legends will not.

Oh, dear (sigh)! This is the ASTRONOMY section and not the ASTROLOGY section. Astrology has absolutely nothing to do with Astronomy. Go the the Myth & Folklore section to ask about this nonsense.

You'd probably have better luck asking this question in the Mythology section, instead of here.
Astrology is not a science and has no scientific basis, this section is intended for questions on Science only.

1) The source will show you the locations of most of those objects, but not all.

2) 3) Can't help you there.
