I had a pipe leak under my house for a while before I noticed it. After the leak has been fixed I know there's gonna be some water and excess moisture left over. My wife suggested putting a box fan down there and let it circulate the air to help dry it, but I was thinking of setting a regular dehumidifier (not anything too high end) down there. I don't have a fan that would fit or a dehumidifier, so I'd have to buy either. Which is the better option?

Either one will work. The dehumidifier will be more expensive, and will remove the water quicker.

The fan circulating the air will mix it with the dryer surrounding air. This is also a cheaper route.

I had a pipe break in my crawl space and put a fan in it. It took about a week, but it did dry it out.

Good luck!

The dehumidifier is the best bet. Don't listen to sump pump guy most dehumidifiers have a condensate tank with a float switch to shut if off when it gets full. You then just have to dump the pail of water down the sink. The dehumidifiers also have fans so point the front into the crawl space.
