Hi how do you tighten the big crankshaft pulley bolt after youve done the cambelt and waterpump. I got the bolt off alright using the engine start method- using the torque from the engine to undo the bolt but now that everythings back together i'm unsure if the engines running safely as you cant tighten it ( the belt just goes around clockwise aswell, can somebody help?

The belt wrapped around the pulley method above works, do not use an impact gun on it.

I squeeze two opposed runs of the belt together to give it more traction and prevent it from turning when I tightened those bolts. It takes some hand strength.

AIR IMPACT OR 3/4 in drive socket and cheater bar. Also check mfg. Torque req. You could Overtighten and spin a bearing !!
